Picknalls in Bloom
We are delighted to announce that we have entered Picknalls in the Heart of England in Bloom - It's our neighbourhood' competition.
We have 4 challenges for Picknalls families - see below for more details.
You should have received a packet of wild flower seeds from Picknalls.
We would love as many families as possible to sow a small area of soil or a small container and grow a wild garden to help our insects.
Simply sprinkle the contents directly onto the soil, cover lightly, water and watch your flowers grow!
Create a bug hotel.
These can be anything from a pile of sticks and stones to a more comprehensive structure.
Have a look at this Wildlife Trust page for some ideas.
BBC Countryfile Plant Britain – Countryfile are running a two-year campaign to get everyone planting so we can all do our bit in the battle against climate change and to help wildlife and our own well-being.
They want to know what you have planted and where.
Whether it is a tree, a plant, a flower, or fruit or veg they would love you to add it to their interactive map.
